Hi,
I was wondering what the status of middlegen?
Is it being actively developed?

The current CVS is sparsely maintained.

Are there any new releases coming up?

There is a brand new release coming up some time in the future. It will
be based on the newly alpha-released Generama framework. No release
dates for the future Middlegen release yet.
